On March 17, 2020, at 9.30 a.m., six justices from the Lao PDR, leaded by the Honourable Bunkwang Thaweesuk, Vice-President of the People's Supreme Court of Loa PDR, attended the Workshop on the Court Proceedings for Persons Holding Political Positions, at the meeting room of the Criminal Case Division for Persons Holding Political Positions (Room No. 218), the Supreme Court building.
In the opening session, the Honorable Teerapong Jirapak, the Vice-President of the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Thailand, warmly delivered his welcome remark. After watching the video presentation, a lecture on the history of the Supreme Court and a lecture on function of the Supreme Court were given by Justice Nikorn Tassaro, Research Justice of the Supreme Court, and Justice Komtharnongchai Chaiphairojn, Secretary of the Supreme Court, respectively. Later, at 11.00 a.m., the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Chief Justice Slaikate Wattanapan, the President of the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Thailand.
This workshop was held during March 18-23, 2020, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation and Academic Collaboration between the Court of Justice of the Kingdom of Thailand.
